Charles Payne was born on November 15, 1960. Not much information is available about his family and career. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a security constable at Minot Air Force Base in Minot, North Dakota. During his tenure, he attended Central Texas College and then Minot State University.
Payne’s Wall Street career began sometime in 1985 at EF Hutton, a stock brokerage firm, where he was an analyst. In 1991 he founded the independent stock market research firm Wall Street Strategies. As the company’s CEO and principal analyst, Payne published his first book in 2007, entitled Be Smart, Act Fast, Get Rich: Your Roadmap to Doing It Right in the Stock Market.

Charles Payne’s wife, Yvonne Payne, is an American novelist and author of the novel Kritsotopoula: Girls from Kritsa. Not much is known about her private life, but what is known is that she met and started dating Charles in the early 2000s. In March 2004, the couple was married. They have two children, a boy and a girl, and the family resides in Teaneck, New Jersey.
When Yvonne was younger, she suffered from hypoventricular tachycardia, a condition in which the heart beats faster than normal. In 2012, however, she successfully underwent surgery for a heart transplant. The heart was donated by the family of child actress Sammi Kane Kraft, who died in a car accident.

Payne is no stranger to scandal. Prior to his 2017 rape allegation, there was a controversy in 1999 in which he paid a $25,000 civil penalty for failing to receive payments from members of Wall Street Strategies to promote its members’ stocks. These share prices later proved to be worthless.
Fast forward to June 2017 and Charles Payne is in another scandal when he was accused of sexual molestation and rape by a former friend and network colleague, Scottie Nell Hughes. Although Payne has vehemently denied the rape allegation, he did admit that he and Miss Hughes had a three-year affair that ended in 2015.
After coming out with her claims on the network, Charles Payne was suspended for an investigation into the matter. However, the suspension was lifted less than two months after the network’s investigation was completed, and Payne did not take issue.
For her part, Miss Hughes did not meet with a favorable outcome after filing a lawsuit against the network. In the lawsuit, she claimed the network blacklisted her and reduced her screen time after she reported Payne. In the same lawsuit, Miss Hughes alleged that Payne pressured her way to her hotel room in 2013 and forced her to have sex with him, despite repeatedly advising him to stop.
She claimed that the attack didn’t end there as over the next two years, she was coerced into a sexual relationship with Payne. She also claimed that as the affair progressed, she was given increased airtime on Fox News and Fox Business, in addition to Payne’s promise of a contributor deal. However, the latter was not fulfilled.
Since the affair was uncovered and reportedlyMiss Hughes has more than expected. She was accused of crying wolf because Payne didn’t fully complete his end of their deal by not securing her a contribution contract. Along with a sudden drop in bookings on cable news networks, she was also disregarded for positions in the Trump administration to which she had been heavily involved.
