BIOGRAPHY
Chuck Lorre is an American screenwriter and producer in charge of making some of the most important series of recent times. He dropped out of college and tried to pursue a musical career, but seeing that he had little success, he decided to switch to the world of television. His first major work in the entertainment industry was Pole Position, a little-known 80s animated miniseries. His following interventions were carried out in other children’s programs until My two Dads (1987-1990) arrived, a sitcom that Lorre himself wrote and produced. From then on he was inclined to perform these same actions in comedy series. Some of the shows he worked on include Roseanne (1988-2018) starring John Goodman, this series won three Golden Globes; Two and a Half Men (2003-2015), an adult comedy for which he won some awards during the 2000s, and Mike and Molly (2010-2016). At the same time, Chuck Lorre was one of those in charge of writing and producing one of the biggest phenomena on television, The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019) and its subsequent spin off, Young Sheldon (2017-). Both have been a milestone in current comedy series: the first was worthy of several awards during the time it was on the air and the second, somewhat under the shadow of the original, is loved by fans. Some of his most recent works are The Kominsky Method (2018-), a Netflix comedy series, and Bob Hearts Abishola (2019-).
