Harold Weber Obituary, Cross Plains WI, Family Mourns

Harold Weber Obituary – Harold Nicholas Weber, 81, of Cross Plains died peacefully at Agrace HospiceCare with his loving family. God received him on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023. Born to Leonard and Regina (Esser) Weber on May 1, 1942, he spent his entire life on the family farm. He enjoyed working on the farm with his family and many other dedicated employees.

Harold graduated from Middleton High School and joined the 44th General Hospital Army Unit in 1961, serving in the reserves. He married his lifelong love, Sue (Wornson) Weber, on April 16, 1966, and they spent 57 glorious years together. They had three children:

Debbie (Chad) Hollfelder, Linda Weber, and Janet (Dan) Biefeld. They love their granddaughter Mandi Hollfelder. Harold wished to wish you “Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary and Blessings Always—I will be singing to you all from Heaven”. His over 1,000 friends and family records were a major part of his legacy. Harold proudly said his middle name was “Nicholas,” inherited from his parents. Not wanting to be confused with the Saint, he said with a grin, but he was trying.

Harold offered his love in various ways, including inviting visitors to hike, camp, and enjoy the magnificent property overlooking Cross Plains. He liked mowing and making God’s beauty visible. He and Sue enjoyed camping up the hill, viewing deer, and having fires with family and friends. He loved spending time with Ruby and Presley, his granddogs.

Harold sang in the St. Francis Xavier choir from eighth grade and had a great voice. His Silvertones sung at elderly homes and other locations to provide joy. Harold loved coordinating and praying the rosary for Knights of Columbus (KC) members and others before funerals. Wisconsin Lions Eye Bank corneas were also transported by him.
