What Happened To Mike Leach?
Mike Leach suffered a massive heart attack in Starkville on December 11, 2022. He was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he is still being treated on Monday. According to multiple sources, Leach collapsed at his home in Starkville but did not receive medical attention for 10 to 15 minutes. EMTs used a defibrillator machine to restore normal heart rhythm and delivered multiple shocks. He was flown to UMMC by helicopter after being stabilized at Oktibbeha County Hospital. According to reports, Leach may have had seizures, which could have resulted in brain damage. According to sources, the situation is dire, and MSU said in a statement Monday that Leach is in "critical condition."
