Everyone's idea of the ideal life is different. That life existed for Eduardo Valseca and his wife Jayne Rager in San Miguel, Mexico, where they resided with their three children. Eduardo was kidnapped on his way home from dropping his kids off at school on June 13, 2007, and it was just like any other day. He was returned one day after a ransom and seven months later. Where Are The Valseca Kids Now?
When the tragic event occurred, the Valseca family had been living on a ranch in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, for about 15 years. When tragedy struck the entire family, Fernando was twelve years old, Emiliano was seven, and Nayah was six.

On the morning of June 13, 2007, the family set out to drop the kids off at the school and this is the day they faced a tragic situation. On most days, Fernando would lead the way on a four-wheeler or their pet donkey, with the rest following in a car and singing along.
However, the Valsecas' lives were permanently changed when Eduardo was kidnapped while returning home, leaving Jayne behind. When Jayne returned to her children, she struggled to explain how their father had been kidnapped for money.
Fernando currently lives in Colorado, but he enjoys visiting different towns and countries. He now works for a solar company as a Crew Lead. Nayah appears to be living in Maryland as well as Colorado. Nayah, like her brother, is an avid traveler who has visited a variety of places both within and outside of the country.

How Did Jayne Valseca Die?
Finally, the family migrated to Maryland in the United States, and there, their mother, Jayne Valseca, died of breast cancer in 2012 which was a terrible time for the family. However, the things Jayne left for them, such as teddy bears with her audio message to the three children and graduation cards for when they graduated from high school and college, helped them remember her fondly.

For the longest time, Nayah remembers sleeping with that teddy. In the show, she stated that her mother was a hero and that she desired to be like her someday.

Eduardo was kidnapped while going back home, leaving Jayne behind, and their lives were forever changed. Jayne tried to explain to her children how their father had been kidnapped for a large sum of money when she got home.
Jayne worked out a deal with the kidnappers as the rest of the family struggled to accept their new situation. According to Jayne, the kids had suffered more without their father.
Eduardo returned just a day after Fernando's twelfth birthday, after seven months passed. Fernando recalls seeing his father and hardly being able to identify him when he returned. The family finally moved to Maryland in the United States. Their mother died of breast cancer in 2012, and the family went through a horrible time.
